# The Childcare (Exemptions from Registration) Order 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 33(2) and (3), 34(3) and (4), 52(2) and (3), 53(3) and (4) and 104(2)(a) of the Childcare Act 2006:
