# The Children (Allocation of Proceedings) Order 1991, Article 8: Transfer from magistrates' court to county court by magistrates' court


Subject to articles 15 to 18, a magistrates" court may transfer to a county court proceedings under the Act or under the Adoption Act 1976, being proceedings to which article 7 does not apply, where, having regard to the principle set out in section 1(2), it considers that in the interests of the child the proceedings can be dealt with more appropriately in that county court.
