# The Children (Secure Accommodation) Regulations 1991, Regulation 11: Maximum initial period of authorisation by a court


Subject to regulations 12 and 13 the maximum period for which a court may authorise a child to whom section 25 of the Act applies to be kept in secure accommodation is three months.
