These Regulations amend regulation 14(2) of the Children’s Homes Regulations 1991 by requiring the responsible authority for any children’s home to ensure that certain precautions are taken against the risk of fire and to contain and reduce the risk to the children in the case of an outbreak of fire (regulation 2). They revoke a provision of earlier amending Regulations which contained an incorrect reference to fire certificates (regulation 3).
