# The Children’s Homes Amendment Regulations 1994, Regulation 2: Amendment of the Children’s Homes Regulations 1991


In regulation 14 (fire precautions) of the Children’s Homes Regulations 1991 for paragraph (2) there shall be substituted the following paragraph—
“(2) The responsible authority shall ensure that in respect of the home—
(a) precautions are taken against the risk of fire,
(b) means of escape in the event of fire are provided,
(c) arrangements are made for detecting, containing and extinguishing fire,
(d) arrangements are made for warning of an outbreak of fire and for evacuation in the event of fire, and
(e) means for fighting fire are provided,
which are such as may reasonably be required in respect of that home.”.
