# The Christmas Bonus (Specified Sum) Order 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 18th December 2008
Coming into force in accordance with article 1
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 148(3)(b) and 175(3)(b) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992.
A draft of this instrument was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 176(1)(c) of that Act.
