# The Church Representation Rules (Amendment) Resolution 2026, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 5th March 2026
Coming into force 6th March 2026
The General Synod, in exercise of the power under section 7 of the Synodical Government Measure 1969, resolves to amend the Church Representation Rules as follows.
In accordance with section 7 of that Measure, the General Synod has passed this Resolution with a majority in each House of not less than two-thirds of those present and voting.
