# The Civil Courts (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1996, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as to close the County Courts at Chippenham, Dover, Folkestone, Newton Abbott, St Austell and Sittingbourne. In addition, it is provided that Canterbury County Court shall have Admiralty jurisdiction.
