# The Civil Courts (Amendment No. 4) Order 1997, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as to—
(a) close the County Courts at Alnwick, Blyth and Bridlington;
(b) rename the County Court at Morpeth as the Morpeth and Berwick County Court; and
(c) close the County Court at Berwick-upon-Tweed as a separate court (as it will become part of the new Morpeth and Berwick County Court).
