# The Civil Partnership (Armed Forces) Order 2005, Article 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Partnership (Armed Forces) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 7th December 2005.
(2) In this Order—
“the Act” means the Civil Partnership Act 2004,
“civil partnership register” means a register supplied to the registering officer by the Registrar General for England and Wales,
“registering officer” means an officer referred to in section 211(1)(b) of the Act.
