# The Civil Procedure Act 1997 (Amendment) Order 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 12th July 2006
Coming into force 1st September 2006
The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 2A(1) of the Civil Procedure Act 1997, after consulting in accordance with section 2A(2A) of that Act, and with the concurrence of the Lord Chief Justice in accordance with section 2A(2) of that Act.
