Paragraph 6.31 Proof of service

Where—

(a)

a hearing is fixed when the claim is issued;

(b)

the claim form is served on a defendant out of the jurisdiction; and

(c)

that defendant does not appear at the hearing,

the claimant may take no further steps against that defendant until the claimant files written evidence showing that the claim form has been duly served.
