# The Clergy Conduct Rules 2026, Rule 27: Advice from the Investigation and Tribunals Team


The case assessor must seek advice from the Investigation and Tribunals Team if, during the investigation under section 24 of the CCM—
(a) a question of law arises, or
(b) a question arises on the interpretation of a provision of a code of practice issued under section 5A of the Safeguarding and Clergy Discipline Measure 2016.
