# The Clergy Discipline (Amendment) Rules 2016, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force in accordance with rule 20
The Rule Committee, in exercise of powers conferred by section 26(1) of the Care of Churches and Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Measure 1991, makes the following Rules to amend the Clergy Discipline Rules 2005:
