Climate Change

The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 11(4) and (5) of the Climate Change Act 2008 (“the Act”)f1.

A draft of this instrument was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament, in accordance with sections 11(6) and 91(1) of the Act.

Before the draft was so laid, the Secretary of State—

  1. (a)

    took into account the advice of the Committee on Climate Change under section 34(1)(b) of the Act in relation to the 2028-2032 budgetary period in accordance with section 11(7)(a) of the Act; and

  2. (b)

    consulted the Scottish Ministers, the Welsh Ministers and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland in accordance with section 11(7)(b) of the Act.f2
