  "text": "(1) This Act may be cited as the Coal Industry Act 1949.\n(2) The Coal Industry Nationalisation Act 1946 and Part I of this Act may be cited together as the Coal Industry Acts 1946 and 1949 . . .\n(3) This Act shall not extend to Northern Ireland.",
