# Coal Industry Act 1975, Introduction: Introductory text


An Act to provide for grants to the National Coal Corporation to meet expenditure under a scheme providing for compensation for pneumoconiosis; to enable the Corporation to withdraw support to enable coal to be worked and to work coal in former copyhold land; to make further provision in relation to opencast operations; and for purposes connected therewith.
