# The Coal Industry (Pension Schemes) Regulations 1971, Note: Explanatory note


These regulations make it unnecessary for the National Coal Board to obtain the Secretary of State's approval before establishing a pension scheme or making other pension arrangements for persons employed in the coal industry.
