# The Code Manager Selection (Competitive) Regulations 2025, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 9th June 2025
Coming into force 7th July 2025
The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 189 and 331(2) of the Energy Act 2023 (the “Act”).
The Secretary of State has approved the making of these Regulations in accordance with section 189(5) of the Act.
