This Order amends the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/1713) to take account of the abolition of the petty sessional divisions of Carmarthen North, Carmarthen South, Gogledd Ceredigion, Ceredigion Ganol, De Ceredigion, Gogledd Preseli and Cleddau and the creation of the new petty sessional divisions of Carmarthen, Ceredigion and North Pembrokeshire. The changes to the petty sessional divisions in question are effected by the Petty Sessional Divisions (Dyfed) Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/1205) which will come into force, subject to certain exceptions on 1st January 1999.
