# The Commission Areas (Sussex) Order 2001, Article 2


In this Order, except where the context otherwise requires:—
“area” means a commission area including any part of the Sussex magistrates' courts committee area;
“abolished area” means one of the areas abolished by article 3(a) below;
“new area” means the area constituted by article 3(b) below;
any reference to a justice for an area shall be construed as a reference to a person who holds the commission of the peace for that area.
