  "text": "In this Schedule—\n“the 1984 Act” means the Telecommunications Act 1984 (c. 12);\n“the abolition of licensing” means the coming into force of the repeal by this Act of section 7 of the 1984 Act;\n“the Director” means the Director General of Telecommunications;\n“the ITC” means the Independent Television Commission.",
