# The Community Bus (Amendment) Regulations 1996, Introduction: Introductory text


PUBLIC PASSENGER TRANSPORT
Made 9th December 1996
Laid before Parliament 11th December 1996
Coming into force 1st January 1997
The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 60(1) and (1A) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981 and sections 23(2)(b) and 137(1) of the Transport Act 1985, after consulting with representative organisations in accordance with section 61(2) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981, hereby makes the following Regulations:
