Explanatory note
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Companies (Fees) Regulations 1991, following amendments to the Companies Act 1985 to be made by section 13(1) of, and Schedule 5 to, the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994 (c. 40) which provide a new procedure for the directors of a non-trading private company to apply to the registrar of companies for the company’s name to be struck off the register. A new fee of £10.00 is prescribed in respect of the making of such an application. These Regulations will come into force on 1st July 1995, the same date on which the relevant provisions of the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994 will be brought into force.
