# The Competition Act 1980 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1980, Article 3


Subject to Article 4 below, the provisions of the Act specified in Schedule 1 to this Order shall come into operation—
(a) as regards those provisions specified in column 1 of Part I of that Schedule, on the day after the making of this Order;
(b) as regards those provisions specified in column 1 of Part II of that Schedule, on 1st May 1980;
(c) as regards those provisions specified in column 1 of Part III of that Schedule, on 1st January 2011;
for the purposes specified in relation to the provisions in question in column 3 of that Schedule.
