  "text": "COMPETITION\nMade 30th April 2004\nComing into force\nFor the purposes of regulation\n4 as it gives effect to paragraphs\n50(a) and 54(8) of Schedule 1 – 1st May 2007\nFor all other purposes – 1st May 2004\nWhereas on 31st March 2004 the Secretary of State laid a draft of these Regulations before Parliament;\nAnd whereas the said draft as so laid has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:\nNow, therefore, the Secretary of State being a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to measures giving effect to the European Community’s rules on competition applying to undertakings , in exercise of the powers conferred on her by the said section 2(2) and by section 209 of the Enterprise Act 2002 , hereby makes the following Regulations:",
