# The Compulsory Purchase (Inquiries Procedure) (Miscellaneous Amendments and Electronic Communications) Rules 2018, Article 3: Interpretation


In these Rules—
“the 2007 Rules” means the Compulsory Purchase (Inquiries Procedure) Rules 2007;
“acquiring authority” and “compulsory purchase order” have the same meaning as in section 7(1) of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.
