# The Construction Products Regulations 2013, Regulation 3: Competent authority


(1) The competent authority for the United Kingdom in respect of Great Britain for the purposes ... of the 2011 Regulation is—
(a) ...an enforcement authority; and
(b) such person as the Secretary of State thinks fit to authorise from time to time to be a ... competent authority, or to perform certain functions of a competent authority, in addition to or in substitution for the Secretary of State.
