# The Contracting-out (Transfer and Transfer Payment) (Amendment) Regulations 2017, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament at 2.30 p.m. on 26th April 2017
Coming into force 3rd July 2017
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12C(1)(a), 20(1)(a)(iii), 181, 182(2) and (3) and 183(1) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993, makes the following Regulations.
The Secretary of State has consulted such persons as the Secretary of State considers appropriate, in accordance with section 185(1) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993.
