# The Contracting-out (Transfer and Transfer Payment) (Amendment) Regulations 2018, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 6th April 2018
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12C, 20(1)(a) and (3), 37A, 181 and 182(2) and (3) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993, makes the following Regulations.
The Secretary of State has consulted such persons as she considers appropriate, in accordance with section 185(1) of the Pension Schemes Act 1993.
