  "text": "(1) An examining officer may take any steps which are reasonably necessary for—\n(a) photographing the detainee,\n(b) measuring the detainee, or\n(c) identifying the detainee.\n(2) This paragraph does not confer the power to take—\n(a) fingerprints, non-intimate samples or intimate samples (see instead paragraph 34 below for power to take fingerprints and non-intimate samples), or\n(b) relevant physical data or samples as mentioned in section 18 of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 as applied by paragraph 42 below (see instead that paragraph).",
