  "text": "(1) The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 is amended as follows.\n(2) In section 37 (duties of custody officer before charge) omit subsections (8A) and (8B).\n(3) In section 38 (duties of custody officer after charge)—\n(a) in subsection (1)—\n(i) in paragraph (a), omit sub-paragraph (iiia);\n(ii) in paragraph (b), in sub-paragraph (i) omit the words from “(but” to “age)”;\n(b) in subsection (2) omit the words from “but” to the end;\n(c) in subsection (6A), omit the definition of “minimum age”.",
