We, the Crown Court Rule Committee, in exercise of the powers conferred on us by sections 84(1) and (2), 86 and 87(4) of the Supreme Court Act 1981^f1, section 32(4) and (5) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988^f2 and section 32 of the Criminal Appeal Act 1968^f3 hereby make the following Rules:
