  "heading": "Extent.",
  "text": "(1) Subject to the following provisions of this section, and to sections 19, 20 and 21 above, this Act extends to England and Wales only.\n(2) The following provisions extend also to Scotland—\nPart I;\nsections 44 to 48;\nsection 50;\nsection 57;\nsection 63;\nsection 68;\nsection 76(3);\nsection 77(10) and (11);\nsection 82;\nsections 84 to 88;\nsections 93A to 93D;\nsections 93F and 93G\nsection 94;\nsection 102, so far as relating to other provisions of this Act extending to Scotland;\nsections 108 to 115 and 117;\nsection 133;\nsection 134;\nsection 136;\nsection 137;\nsections 141 141A and 142;\nsection 143;\nsection 145(a) and (b);\nsection 162;\nsection 170;\nsection 171;\nthis section; and\nsection 173.\n(3) The following provisions extend also to Northern Ireland—\nPart I;\nPart IV;\nsection 50;\nsection 133;\nsections 133 to 133B, with the exception of paragraph 5(ba) of Schedule 12 which extends to England and Wales and Scotland only\nsection 135;\nsection 136;\nsection 137;\nsection 139;\nsection 139A;\nsection 139B;\nsection 141;\nsection 142;\nsection 143;\nsection 152;\nsection 159;\nsection 162;\nsection 166(5);\nsection 170;\nsection 171;\nthis section; and\nsection 173;\n(4) The following provisions—\nsection 56;\nsections 90 to 93;\nsection 93E\nsection 103(2);\nsection 116;\nsection 124;\nsection 141ZA;\nsection 141C;\nsection 161;\nextend to Scotland only.\n(5) Section 95 above extends only to Scotland and Northern Ireland.\n(6) Sections 145(c), 149 and 168 and paragraph 5(bb), 5(bc) and 5(bd) of Schedule 12 above extend to Northern Ireland only.\n(7) Nothing in subsection (1) above affects the extent of section 146 or Schedule 13.\n(10) Section 158 above extends—\n(a) to Scotland, so far as it relates to courts-martial; and\n(b) to Northern Ireland, so far as it relates to courts-martial and to such a publication or broadcast or inclusion in a cable programme in Northern Ireland as is mentioned in section 4(1) of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1976 as adapted by section 5(1)(b) of that Act.\n(11) The extent of any amendment of an enactment in Schedule 15 to this Act is the same as that of the enactment amended, except that the amendments of the Offences against the Person Act 1861 do not extend to Northern Ireland.\n(12) The extent of any repeal of an enactment in Schedule 16 to this Act is the same as that of the enactment repealed, subject to the Notes at the end of the Schedule.",
