# Criminal Law Act 1977, Paragraph 2


There shall be inserted after section 283 a new section as follows—
“ Offences which are to become triable only summarily.
283A (1) The provision of this or any other enactment notwithstanding, the offences mentioned (and broadly described) in column 1 of Schedule 7A to this Act shall be triable only summarily.
(2) Subsection (1) above is without prejudice to any other provision by virtue of which any offence is triable only summarily.]”.
