# The Criminal Procedure (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2023, Rule 24: Amendment to the preamble to the Criminal Procedure Rules


In the preamble to the Criminal Procedure Rules 2020, in sub-paragraph (b), in the first column, headed “Rule”, immediately after the entry for Part 23 insert “24.9” and in the second column, headed “Power”, in the corresponding position insert “Section 16K(1) of the Magistrates’ Courts Act 1980”.
