# The Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2006, Paragraph 18.2: Warrants must be signed

Every warrant under the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980 must be signed by the justice issuing it, unless rule 5.3 permits the justices' clerk to sign it.
