# The Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2026, Introduction: Introductory text


This Statutory Instrument corrects errors in S.I. 2025/909 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that Statutory Instrument.

Coming into force in accordance with rules 2 and 3
The Criminal Procedure Rule Committee makes the following Rules under section 69 of the Courts Act 2003 and sections 31(1) and (2), 36B(4), 36C(3), 113(1), 118C(4) and 118D(3) of the Extradition Act 2003, after consulting in accordance with section 72(1)(a) of the Courts Act 2003.
