# The Criminal Procedure Rules 2025, Rule 39.5: Reference by Criminal Cases Review Commission

Extent: E+W

(1) The Registrar must serve on the appellant a reference by the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
(2) The court must treat that reference as the appeal notice if the appellant does not serve such a notice under rule 39.2.
