# The Criminal Procedure Rules 2025, Rule 42.1: Extension of time

Extent: E+W

(1) An application to extend the time limit for giving notice of application for permission to appeal under Part 2 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 must—
(a) be included in the notice of appeal; and
(b) state the grounds for the application.
(2) The parties may not agree to extend any date or time limit set by this Part or by the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (Appeals under Part 2) Order 2003.
