  "heading": "Short title, commencement and extent.",
  "text": "(1) This Act may be cited as the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995.\n(2) This Act shall come into force on 1 April 1996.\n(3) Subject to subsections (4) and (5) below, this Act extends to Scotland only.\n(4) The following provisions of this Act and this section extend to England and Wales—\nsection 44;\nsection 47;\nsection 209(3) and (7);\nsection 234(4) to (11);\nsection 244;\nsection 252 for the purposes of the construction mentioned in subsection (1) of that subsection;\nsection 303(4) to (7).\nPart 1 of Schedule 13 (and section 227ZO)\n(5) The following provisions of this Act and this section extend to Northern Ireland—\nsection 44;\nsection 47;\nsection 244;\nsection 252 for the purposes of the construction mentioned in subsection (1) of that subsection;\nsection 303(4) to (7).\nPart 2 of Schedule 13 (and section 227ZO)\n(6) Section 297(3) and (4) of this Act and this section also extend to the Isle of Man.",
