  "text": "(1) The Scottish Ministers must pay to the members of the Commission such remuneration and allowances as Ministers may determine.\n(2) The Scottish Ministers may—\n(a) pay (or make arrangements for the payment of);\n(b) make payments towards the provision of; or\n(c) provide and maintain schemes (whether contributory or not) for the payment of,\nsuch pensions, allowances and gratuities to or in respect of such members and former members of the Commission as Ministers may determine.\n(3) The reference in sub-paragraph (2) to pensions, allowances and gratuities includes pensions, allowances and gratuities paid by way of compensation for loss of office.",
