# The Crossrail (Nomination) Order 2008, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 24th July 2008
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 (1) of the Crossrail Act 2008
In accordance with section 39 (4) of that Act, she has consulted the Mayor of London.
