We, the Crown Court Rule Committee, in exercise of the powers conferred upon us by sections 84(1) and 86 of the Supreme Court Act 1981, section 81 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and sections 43(3) and 65(1) of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999, hereby make the following Rules:
