# The Crown Court (Amendment) Rules 2024, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 4th March 2024
Coming into force 8th April 2024
The Lady Chief Justice, with the concurrence of the Lord Chancellor, makes the following rules in exercise of the powers conferred by section 84(1) of the Senior Courts Act 1981 and section 2(2)(a) of the Civil Evidence Act 1995.
