We, the Crown Court Rule Committee, in exercise of the powers conferred upon us by sections 84(1) and 86 of the Supreme Court Act 1981^f1, sections 2, 2B, 2C and 2E of the Criminal Procedure (Attendance of Witnesses) Act 1965^f2 and section 19 of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996^f3, hereby make the following Rules:
