# The Customs (Safety and Security Procedures) Regulations 2022, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st July 2022
The Commissioners for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 166A(1) and 166C(1)(e) and (6) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979.
