# The Cycle Racing on Highways (Amendment) Regulations 1980, Introduction: Introductory text


ROAD TRAFFIC
Made 7th August 1980
Laid before Parliament 22nd August 1980
Coming into Operation 12th September 1980
The Minister of Transport (in relation to England) and the Secretary of State for Wales (in relation to Wales) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 20(2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1972 and now vested in them and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 199(2) of the said Act, hereby make the following Regulations:—
