# The Damages (Personal Injury) Order 2017, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 20th March 2017
The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Damages Act 1996, having consulted the Government Actuary and the Treasury in accordance with section 1(4) of that Act:
