# The Damages (Personal Injury) Order 2019, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 15th July 2019
Coming into force 5th August 2019
The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section A1 of the Damages Act 1996, having reviewed and determined the rate of return in accordance with paragraph 2 of Schedule A1 to that Act:
